Ok, here's the deal. I want to be a SEAL(obviously) but need some advice on what my options are, if I have any. I'm not looking for any guarantees of getting into BUDs but what I have to do to have a chance of being accepted. I have a lot of questions and prefer to email with those that are, obviously, current SEALs or are very knowledgable of the SEAL community. I've been watching the message board for awhile and that has answered some of my questions, but it has also raised others. I'm looking for a no BS type of response to my questions. My situation is not as clear cut as some on here and I want answers that are not someone's best uneducated guess. I will email those that want to help a description of myself and the questions that I have. Thanks in advance.

Hey z,

I am not a SEAL, but have been training in that direction as I make some big decisions myself. Life in the private sector is proving far more interesting than I thought, but still something is missing. Tough to make a decision this big.

Either way, I have not been around here in a while but have posted in the past on these types of topics. Check the archives or if you want send an email to elpaninaro@navyseals.com. I check that box every few days.

I have spoken extensively to recruiters and current and former SEALs and am always happy to pass on anything I have been told in the past.

Beeing a SEAL is a life style not only a job if you have any doubt don't bother showing up it will be a waste of your time.
