My friend in the Navy just came back to visit while on leave. He says he's going into NSF or MSF, I can't recall which he said. He says is a new special forces team in the navy that is just under SEALs basically. I'm trying to find out what this is all about. He and I actually talked each other into going into the SEALs and that is his final goal. He says that this new special forces do domestic missions a lot of the time. If anyone knows any info about this or a website where I can find information that would be very helpful. I'm joining up on DEP in a couple weeks and I need to know what to do. I'm looking at Gunners mate right now, but what is this new special forces??

There is a Naval Security Forces (NSF) but it is NOT special operations unit. SEALs are one of a kind in the Navy. There is no type of "special" teams "under" SEALs. SBU and EOD sometimes operate WITH us, but not "under" us and the pbjective of each is obviously different...But for domestic-related situations, NSF is just a security team, no special ops relation there...
