I know that SEALS always work as a team but I was wondering if SEALS do solo missions. If not then what is the aversage size of a SEAL team that is is deployed on a mission?....How many missions, on average will a SEAL take part in during one years time?...and how much time, If any, does a SEAL get to spend at home while in service?

I've never actually heard of a SEAL going solo. It could be possible that they have done it, but I myself doubt it. SEALs work best in about squads of 8, but depending on the mission, it will vary. Books I've read of SEALs in Vietnam worked in squads of 8, but in Gernada (may be mispelled), they worked in much larger groups. I want to say bigger than platoons, but not sure. There is no way in telling how many missions a SEAL will average a year. Depends if the country is in conflict, war, or peace. I believe that the government can not force a person in the military to be away from home more than 6 months. I am not a SEAL, but will be one day. I've gotten this info from books and websites, so if anyone knows otherwise, say so. Hope this helps.

If I remember correctly in 'FIRST SEAL' didn't Roy Bohem go kill a guy in the Dominican by himself.I read the book when it first came out I maybe wrong or he may have not been a SEAL then.

SEALs rareley do solo missions but often do work in pairs (swim buddy concept). The answer to the size of team sent on a mission is entirely dependent upon the mission and needs...it is not standard at all. A SEAL in an operational status will likely be gone (away from home) two weeks a month and six months during every 18 month period.
