I saw a poll on the website asking member whether or not the training for the SEALs should be tougher, easier, stay the same or doesn't matter. Now I can't fathom how hard BUD/S is at this current time because I have never been there but I personally said that I would like to see the standards raised and have tougher training. I have no logical explanation for this. lol. But I feel that the harder the training, the harder the men. And the better you will feel about yourself once you finish. In no way am I saying the the current SEALs aren't some bad mothers. They are amazing individuals with incredible stamina, strength and mental toughness. The training does not need to be harder, but hey...why not? What do you think?

Well..... I don't really know, but I've seen some of the tests, and I think it's fine. This is the physical teste for being a officer in the swedish navy. Our attack divers doesn't have to do more than this.
One more thing berfore you see it, this is no joke.

Physical demands:
Be able to swim 400 metres and take part of a rescue operation.
Be able to run 3.000 metres in less than 15 minutes.
Be able to run 10 km in 60 minutes, OR be able to ski 15 km in 80 minutes
Make 25 sit-ups in max 60 seconds.
25 back-ups in 60 seconds.

Here comes the most funny part of all
MAKE 12 PUSH-UPS IN 30 SECONDS!!!!

I'm having no problems with any of it, and I'm just 14, And I'm not in THAT good physical shape, but this is almost like a joke...

I would like to see the standards raised and have tougher training.

Take a look at Hell Week. They push the trainees so hard during this week that if they pushed them any harder or made it tougher, the trainess would be risking permanent injury. I'll leave it at that.

Ask some of those who have been there, the training never stops and actually intensifies AFTER you graduate from BUD/S...Come back after you have passed BUD/S and then comment on tougher training...I am not trying to be rude, but the best information I have tells me that once assigned to a Platoon the training regimine can be likened to that of the NFL or any world class athletic endeavor.

Leave the physical alone. As SEALs have already said, it's not the physical that breaks the guys, it's the mental.
