I have a somewhat odd request, which would require help from a real Navy SEAL. I was given several names of people on this site that may be able to help. Doug, Wetwash, Wazz, Sealpup, EmbraceTheHate (I like that name *S*), Kbar207, and Bullrider. I am sure there are others, but these were some of the names my friend gave me. Anyhow, here is my question: Would any real SEAL be able to maybe scan a copy of their BUD/S graduation diploma and e-mail it to me? Or if it is classified or something, at least be able to tell me what is on it (pictures) and how it reads? I am looking for this because I met this guy that says he was a SEAL and he showed me his diploma and I dont know if it just looks phony or not. I verified his name and class # with the verify people, but his name & class # he could have just made up from a book he read or something. Please someone help me out. I want to see if he really IS for real or if he is a liar. If he is a liar, I can look into it more so he can get busted by real SEALs. Thank you all very much for your help. An email scanned copy can be sent to: tonya@navyseals.com Also after I see it I will immediately delete it so it does not get shown around the internet. No one will view this but me. Thank you all very much in advance.

Go to the Member's Profiles. Look up my name and email me the name of your friend, the Class # he gave you, and any particulars he has said of himself. Perhaps I can verify him.

I had a copy of Embrace The Hate's Diploma, but deleted it after the smoked cleared on that subject.

Because you do not have a Memeber's Profile please give me a couple of sentences about yourself in the email you send me.

Wazz beat me to the punch. You may want to scan this guy's diploma and send it to verify@cyberseals.org. The diploma doesn't really mean anything, since they have changed over the years. Another thought is to have this guy contact Wazz or myself at the e-mail addresses on our profiles. If he's the real thing, he should have no problem cyber-rapping with a couple of teammates.

I concur. Chickenhawk or I will pronbably be able to help. We both like emails as opposed to open Posts.

Did you check with AuthentiSEAL? Yes, he very well could have made it up, but give them the story of his claims - rather than name and class #, get dates (BUD/S graduation, a few classmates names, what Team he went to, what date he earned his trident, etc.) Slowly get more info and they can piece things together for you and see if it fits. Good luck....

P.S., if you think he is lying to you about his real name, just be sneaky and look at his drivers license or mail, etc. Take care....

I got to tell you guys I am looking at my diploma right now and if I diden't know better I would think it is a fake also. I remeber when I graduated and saying to myself what a piece of crap. But then again we diden't do it for the diploma did we!

Kbar's mention that his authentic SEAL BUDS Diploma looked fake caused me to search for Diplomas that could be purchased and filled in by the vendor company or the customer. With some effort I found such places to purchase such a Diploma. I have not gone to local stores to search for Cetificates that could be filled in by the customer and with a smooth story be passed off onto unknowing listeners as real SEAL BUDS Diplomas.

I am not mentioning where I found the fake Diplomas on purpose. Wannabes, go find your own.

Looking at the diploma for Class 200, I would agree the Navy did not spend alot of taxpayer $ on them. Hey, at least you got diplomas, all we got when we graduated OCS was a mimeographed paper stating we were now officers,(no mention of gentlemen), in the Army, signed by LBJ.

Thank you for not mentioning it, Wazz, and SOME of us Wannabes are waiting for the real deal. Wouldn't want a fake certificate if you mailed it to me with $100 cash. (And I'd be insulted by the cash. LOL)

Well, at least Class 200 got a diploma. My Class Zero did not. A number of days before my Class was complete they told us we were flying off to the Big Show in 3 days. And so we did, without a Diploma, Class #, or Graduation. Nobody loved us.

That small certificate subtantiating your OCS commisssion was small as they thought your new salary level would dazzle you sufficiently. But congrats on making your commission.

When I received my dolphins, I got no certificate. The only thing I can remember is walking around the boat and everyone pounding them into my chest. Still have the two little pin whole scars to prove it. HA

Funny, I know how you feel. LOL

I found a pay certificate from 68, O-2 over 2 years, base, 437 and change. Jeez, no wonder I was always broke.

Thanks, I did work hard for it. Thought about quitting almost on a daily basis, but for some reason didn't. Became what I was starting to believe I couldn't. No, wasn't BUD/s, but had fairly high drop rate.

Correct, Korea.

On the beach. Lawn chairs. Pena Coladas. Hula girls. That's what we dreamed of.

with everybody's mention of the cheap looking diploma's, I am starting to believe his is legit. While I havent seen one I know is legit, could somebody at least tell me what they say and what (if anything) is pictured on them? Its more curiosity at this point than anything. I dont remember how this guys was worded, but it was on blue paper about "legal" sized. Thanks in advance guys. Curiosity is a killer. And also thank you for al the tips on figuring him out.
