Post your heaviest load for the C&J. Today's objective is not about doing it fast, it's about doing it right. Try to go heavy, but BE SAFE!

POWER! Just what I needed to break up a ****ty morning at work! As RX'd, I took my time this morning as I also had no desire to head back to the office.
Got all the way to 205# 3x today on the Cleans (squat cleans the whole way through to work on technique), 225# proved too much even with ample rest as I just missed all three attempts. Undeterred, I wanted to try Jerking 225# I decided to try from the rack, nailed the first rep! Was pumped, but was just too drained to do another so I pussed out and dropped to 135#. Got three more reps of both Clean and Jerk before calling it a day.

Had a bad morning and got stuck at 135lbs. The Navy gym won't let us drop the weights, so couldn't push the max.

Worked up to 155 C&J w/ no problem. Cleaned 185 easily but couldn't get the lock out on the Jerk... Bumped back to 155 and completed the sets.
Did some swim drills after.
Time for some food... Starving.

c+j to 185, failed 205, broke 205 and 225 up into clean grip pulls, front squats and jerk components.
9 rounds of yesterdays workout
Nap time now. 5 am shifts are runnin me ragged.
C&J'd up to 185
On 205 i could only clean it, I couldn't finish the jerk. So I finished off at 185.

Hello All,
Hmmm.. we start back to triathlon specific training soon. I think the aerobic profile of the Crossfit exercises means I will need to add some sport specific days.
Since I am new to this form of exercise does anyone have any good ideas of approach to training for sprint triathlons and maintaining Crossfit capabilities?
:)
Went to 135 but stopped at 95 to work on form, went up on 7 and 8 went to 100 and 115.
I still go to my toes instead of back on my heels. Oh well, It is good to suck at somethings I suppose.

got up to 185 and was able to lock out the jerk one time but failed the next two attempts. obtained a pr and cleaned 205 once but wasn't able to get the other two because the bar kept running into my weight belt on the way up causing all the momentum to be lost. besides the fact i was extremely pist about this i have decided to buy a new weight belt immediately and get over it. dropped back down to 135 and finished up c&j at that weight.

Maxed at 133# in sets of 3
Could have C&J'd more but not in sets of 3.
Pretty weak but I'm getting better at these.

First experience with a clean and jerk. I did not want to work out today. I sucked, it sucked, wasn't in the mood.
Went up to 155. Did all 3, then decided to take it back down and work on form since it was all new to me, and quite frankly, it was kind of hard.
I was going to run afterwards, but just didn't feel like it today. I don't know what's wrong with me. I guess my gash was hurting...
Better luck tomorrow.

After a late day meeting I was so frustrated I needed to blow off some steam, so I met a buddy for a CF workout and let him choose the workout. He chose "Christine" (3 rounds for time: 500m row, 12 BW DLs, 20 box jumps @ 20"). Now that I weigh 194#, I upped my BW DLs from 185# to 195#...
8:39 (PR! Nearly 35 seconds better than when using 185# for DLs)
17 seconds off Pat's time (CF video demo), but I moved 1180# more weight. My friend, well, his clock is still running since he didn't finish.

Got up to 185, but couldn't get any higher.
I seem to be opposite of most, I have trouble with the clean, but felt like I could jerk much higher. Should've tried 205 for the push jerk. My form goes to **** at the heavy weight, no real training on these except watching the video.
Cheers

Got up to 185lb once and then dropped to 155lbs (for 205lb set) and 135 lbs (for 225lb set).
Then did 3 x 5 bench press at 185, 195 & 205.

Hey fellas.
Did this one earlier today. Got up to 135# and got 3 reps there. Before today I've only ever done 1 rep at 135# and none since. Today I got it and did all the remaining at 135# so I was pumped about that.
