A place near and dear to my heart and now a person I respect deeply all connected. This was my last Duty station, I also just found out it was where Michael Monsoor was before he went to Iraq. Its a small world, just got a whole lot smaller for me.

It's a small world, indeed. Michael Monsoor will always be remembered as the American hero he is. Rest in peace, Michael, a fallen warrior is never forgotten.

I guess something in the back of my mind kept pinging as I was looking at his photo's. There were alot of him just goofing off with buddies on liberty etc, and some of those places looked SO familiar... now I know why. It's just strange that the little non descript base out in the middle of the med that I called home for 2 1/2 years, he did the same, but many years later.
