I just want to wish everyone a Happy Father's Day, especially those who are not able to be with their families. My Husband is spending his first Father's Day in the sanbox, though he's missing a lot of "firsts" with our daughter while being gone he is dearly missed on this special day.

Happy Father's Day!
Our newspaper ran a special article on how military dads have kept in touch with children while deployed...........
*One dad advised his aspiring Eagle-Scout on how best to re-build a bridge.
*Another dad bought everyone a Rubik's Cube and exchanged tips for solving it. Now that they are good at it they compete for time.
*A dad of young boys.....one boy had a red helium balloon that got away one day. His quick-thinking grandma said it was going to Iraq to give his dad joy.........then told dad about it and so dad got a balloon and took a picture of him holding it......when he finally did come home he stepped off the plane with a red balloon! I loved this one!
*Dad told kids that they were both looking at the same moon so every night the kids say "Goodnight" to the moon.
*Another obvious but not to be forgotten way is for Dad to record himself talking/reading a story and send it to kids.
