Backpack w/ 30lbs... 6 Miles... On the Beach. Long slow jog... Not sure how long it took... Less than and hour.
Pain dodging people in the sand... Ladies in bikinis helped keep my mind off the suck though.

Great time Jimmyseven! I still have a ways to go, but my run felt really good today. Still don't have a rucksack or weight vest (hopefully soon), but I ran with about 10 lbs.
I did this about an hour after the friday beatdown; and, I was hoping to go 8 miles but, after figuring the distance on google earth, I see that I fell a little short.
Distance: 7.42 miles. Time: 58:02 (pretty sure this is a PR).
I hit a wall with roughly a mile left and my mind REALLY wanted to stop and my legs hit a wall; so I shut down my mind and kept going. After every minute or so I would get the urge to stop (but didn't). Once I had about a half mile to go the rest of the run went well.
Does anyone else feel they run better/faster on trails rather than tracks or treadmills?
