First time maxing out with dead lifts, so took it slow.

I think I am seeing a pattern develop. It seems aerobic type guys like myself suck at this weeks profile of workouts.

OK I have never deadlifted before a week or so ago when we were told to do 225. It was tough and I felt it in the back of my right knee first. Why is that happening? Do I need to tape the knee before heavy lifting (for me) ?

Me 3 225, 3 255 then nothing left I couldn't even decrease. So I guess that was a bust. I'll know to start with less weight next time.

Pull ups in 5 minutes, well that seems to be a joke as well. I got 50 terrible looking no where near regulation, and I still can't kip.
I counted 27 reasonable ones, and 13 correct ones.

This is me hanging my head.

My workout buddy went to 300 like a champ and kipped from full extension to proper height 53 pull ups.

I combined todays workout with tuesday's.

225-255-275-295-305 (DL are starting to get better)

5 press ,4 push press,3 jerk up to 135

Then 64 pull ups in 5 min.

did sets of 5 due too lack of weight
225, 245, 245, 265, 265 all the weight I had and probably could've gone heavier.

I almost feel guilty for not feeling like I want to die after todays workout. I thought about doing some extras, but then I got a sick feeling in the pit of my gut when I began to think of what torture rord may have for us tomorrow!!! I'm nervous, its A Friday beatdown tomorrow I think.

i miss heavy lifting!...ehh not that much...

285 - 305 - 315 - 325 - 335

got to 80 pullups with 48 seconds left when they kicked me out of the gym

Definitely miss heavy deads. Down from 405 this time last year. Ouch. Hell of a better runner/swimmer though. Price you pay I guess.

Didn't have access to weights today, so did the pull-ups.

Did 100 pull-ups in 5 minutes.


Then did the afternoon workout from Wednesday.


5 rounds of 25 push-ups, 25 sit-ups, 25 push-ups & 25 flutters.

Time=9:20

Good ol' deadlifts...

Lets see: 225, 255, 265, 275, 285

These felt good today. Back is still a bit tweaked form the last 1 RM Deads I did. Slowly but surely.
