damn, i havent done jump rope since i was a little girl...wait...that came out wrong!
seriously though, i havent done jump ropes in forever, took AWHILE to get into the rhythm, my calves were on fire.

i did the Fran portion in 4:48, total time- 28:58!!!AHHHH!!!

i spent ~12 minutes trying to get more than 1 d/u and failed miserably. did the 3xreg for the rest. on the last set of 30 i wouldnt let myself count it unless they were all consecutive, i ended up doing like ten sets of 26, 27 and then messing up. needless to say i was a little PISSED!! worked on the jump rope for awhile afterward.

then i did some rowing cause the pool was closed.

Did the thrusters w/ 95lbs. Used seven of the risers at my gym as a bench to make sure I was going down far enough each time on the squat and could not cheat... As rx'd 4:29.

I stopped the clock and did part two... As rx'd 7:48.

Haven't jumped rope since my boxing days... Going to start doing it more often. Nice one Rord!

DUs are my nemesis! I'm feeling so good right now I think I'm finally gonna break 3 mins for the "Fran" part. However, I'm setting my over/under at 30 minutes due to there being 150 DUs. :(

Well if you can almost break 3 on 95#, then under 3 on 65# should be a piece of cake, right? :D

"sissy fran" part in 6:00.. clock kept running... none of that stopping nonsense, full workout in 25:00. Subbed 24" box jumps for DUs. Finning the 2k in a couple hours. Hooyah. Maybe I'll even do some curls for the girls.

Oh, didn't notice that it was 65# for the Fran portion. I'll be gunnin for breaking 2 mins now. Thanks, I just gained another minute for DUs, but sadly my over/under for "Frannie" remains 30 mins due to the fact that I suck at DUs.

QUESTION: Is everyone doing Fran @ 95#, or at today's RX of 65#?

Full WOD in 14:52 (no stop)

Finished the Fran in 4:22. Thrusters were actually unbroken! Pullups weren't. Too bad I can't do that on the real 95# Fran. Sub'd 3x jump ropes for double unders as suggested. Tried a few DU before the WOD but I just couldn't manage them. Gotta practice those.

Oh yeah, for the Annie, I think there is a mistake on the page because it says 50-40-30-20-20-10 but I just did 50-40-30-20-10.

WOD as Rx'd
Full workout = 18:10 (no stop)

Fran Time (65lb thrusters) = 3:37

For Annie I did 3 x 50-40-30-20-20-10 for jump rope
and 50-40-30-20-20-10 sit-ups.

HAHA
Didin't see the 65# thrusters and used 95#. Fran time 6:38. Can't kip on my pullup bar so I was very broken in the pullups. I also used box jumps instead of DU's 'cause I don't have a jump rope. Whole workout......unknown, I think I might have blacked out becaus I never stopped my watch. Gonna run 5k instead and do swim tomorrow.

Cheers All

Time: 27:07

Substituted lat pulls after first set of pull ups.
Did extra set of 9 thrusters and did 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 20, 10 for DU's.

I'm gonna become a pull up maniac as it is the weakest skill I have.

32y/o, 210lbs/ 6'1"

By the way if anybody is in the St. Louis area let me know. Guys in the gym are scared to work their a$$e$ off! It sucks working out by myself.

Thank god it was 65 lbs. on the thrusters as my shoulders are giving me fits!
7:03 for the Frannie. The thrusters were unbroken, but the pullups needed breaking except for the last set.

13:12 for the situps with 3x regular jump rope. Fortunately, I'm very quick jumping rope, but I felt a great deal of fatigue on the sit-ups. I just need a little practice with the DUs and I'll be there. I just wanted to bust the workout out tonight.

Frannie was tough, but fun. Total time start to finish was probably about 23:00. I sucked a little wind after the first part because it was tough.

Also did workout recommendation from the workout generator which added about 150 pushups and many more abs, which I cycled out with more pullups. All in all a good day. Day off tomorrow.

Fran time was 5:10 then my watch died sometime during the DU's so i have no clue what my time was for the full WOD.

Hello all,

I did it yesterday. I turned the watch off to check form. :D yep it sucked.

I haven't skipped rope since middle school or elementary I dunno that was longer ago than some of you have been walking.

:)

I'd say somewhere in the 25 min range as a guess.

I can't kip I think it has to do with a the no rhythm thing.

Have a great day.

Been out of the loop posting lately...

"Frannie"
65LB Fran time: 3:05
Frannie Overall time: 12:28

Subbed the 3X for the DU's -- I've been working DU's everyday and the most I get are like 5 at a time... and sometimes not more than one...
I'll be subbing till I can do 10 solid DU's in a row

Bad time for me today; pullups were pathetic. I didn't look at the weight and used 95# for thrusters

Time for fran 6:52

Didn't have a jump rope so I grabbed 5# plates and did 4x the DU's...didn't feel like a good substitute.

Total time: 19:37

All-in-all this was a good workout. I always like working on things that give me trouble: i.e. double unders...

Fran - 4:20 (Not as good as my 95# time...???!!!??? )
Total - 21:15

Apparently I haven't been doing a regular dose of situps lately so that was kind of a beating as well. Looking forward to some ring work today though...I guess...

Good work guys. Keep it up!

I was the same, what was up with those thrusters!!!!

Subbed 4 count mountain climbers for the DU's which caused a nice ole mess.

"Fran" plus "Annie" not "Frannie," you'll see why in a moment...

"Fran"
2:52 (PR - SUB 3 MIN... FINALLY!)
I couldn't resist doing "Fran" proper. Blasted through the thrusters unbroken, pull-ups were unbroken until second set when I slammed my shins into a support bar on rep 11, then on rep 14 my hands slid off the crappy pull-up bar.

I was crushed after, and laid on the ground, a collapsed mass of humanity. Then I overheard these two guys doing bench, and one said quietly to the other, "that guy looks a lot stronger than he is, he was only lifting 95#." Mind you, they were repping 135# on the bench. I smiled thinking, "what a bunch of dumbasses." :D After about a minute on the ground, I managed to get to my feet and grabbed my jump rope. As I unfurled the rope a trainer came over and said, "Sir, we don't allow jump rope in the gym," and he pointed to a sign. I asked, "what about the studios?" "Nope." "But nobody's using them." "The rules are the rules." I grabbed my stuff and went to the parking lot for "Annie." My guess is that all this resulted in a 5-7 minute break between "Fran" and Annie."

"Annie" 50-40-30-20-10
19:56
I tried desperately to get a DU rhythm, but couldn't. I'd get one or two, then tangle. I later discovered why (my rope was only 8.5'... I'm 6'3", and need a 9' rope!). Anyway, after taking 5 minutes to get 20 DUs, and feeling like I was losing intensity due to all the restarts, I modified "Annie" using Rord's "standard jump rope x 3" sub but added 10 DUs at the end of each round. So I'd do 150 standard jump rope then 10 DUs (and so on) then into the sit-ups, which were unanchored (I tried to anchor using my car's bumper, bad idea) on wet grass (fun times). So all in all I did 450 standard jump rope and 70 DUs (including the original 20 and the 10 per round following my mod).

Going to buy a 9' rope tomorrow.

I smiled thinking, "what a bunch of dumbasses." :D

Haha I love it, GMT. Haaaaters. This guy I work with is constantly talking big in the gym and always cries to me about how sore he is. He likes to call me out, saying "Are you gonna do a REAL workout today?" I keep inviting him to try one of these WODs but for some reason his shoulder always hurts or he's busy getting the sand out of his... hoohoo. :D It's ok, he can have his skull crushers and straight bar curls.

As Rx'd, with 3x jump rope subbed in for the DUs.

Fran portion ~4:30
Annie portion ~13:30

t = 18:06
