Hey everyone, i'm 15 years old, and i just did the PST at the Navy SEALs Fitness Challenge in Dearborn, MI, and i was wondering if any of you had any input on my scores. I know that every single thing i did i need and want to work on, but if there is one in particular that i should work on more than the other, please let me know.

500 Swim - 9:53

Pushups in 2 minutes - 83

Situps in 2 minutes - technically 67, but i did 84 but 17 weren't good form so they didn't count.

Pullups- 13 (no time limit)

1.5 Mile Run - 9:57

Thanks a lot!

All your scores are good Can, however you need to bring those swim and run times down. You are aiming for competitive scores and better. That should always be your goal.

say dive doc, how would these scores compare to what officer candidates for SEALs would need?

I would like to commend you on your scores. Being a 15 year old you are already competative. Keep on working on them and you will be in good standing by the time you plan to ship out.

Say Dive Doc, is that quote you have there from Dr. Perry Cox?

Which quote would that be?

In many cases officer candidates are exceeding the competitive scores. I have seen some phenomenal numbers from the top officer candidates. The "competitive" scores should be your goal no matter what application route you choose! If you are considering officer, you would need this and better. Above you have to try and excel. Your goal is to be a professional warrior and you go in with the attitude of competing each and every time.

WOW, I am also fifteen and those scores are excellent for a 15 year old, if you ask me.

For officers, competitive scores are:

17 minutes combined run & swim
100 push-ups & situpis
20 pull-ups

If you're 15 with those scores, you've got at LEAST three years before you even ship out. By the time you get to BUD/S, you ought to be able to dominate those PSTs. Good scores.
