I'm still waiting on my new 1306 to come back from my chain of command. I know it's been approved but I haven't recieved it yet so that I can fax it off again. Hopefully the manning for the MR community is still ok so that I can be released to go. I don't believe I will be able to get into a class until the end of the year or beginning of next year. Last time I spoke to the detailer he said classes were filling quickly. How is it down there?

Is class pretty comparable to what we see in the BUD/s videos? They don't really have anything out there video wise for SWCC training like they do SEALs.

Heres some videos you should watch from youtube:

Thats part 1, you can see the other two parts linked there as well.

Looks like youll need to be well versed in water proficiency, lots of swimming, running, and more swimming. Id train just like Bud/s if i were you, the physical part will be just as hard.

Yo NavyMA...did you mean there is a 40 max. capacity in a SWCC class???

What uniforms did you bring and how many? I'm trying to see to it that all of that I have is ready to go. What other gear did you guys bring?

Yes There is a max of 40 per class.

Josh, if i were you i would bring them all, you need to have at least one of every uniform... other than that bring as little personal gear as you need... it makes life alot easier...

As far as training goes... Pushups... and lots of them... we hit the surf a few times, did 2 soft sand runs and 1 swim so far... We start the day around 530am and end around 530-7pm

most of the problems people are having are from the (sand) runs...

I appreciate that info, did you bring your cammies also? I believe all my other uniforms are good to go except for rockers and ratting/rank badges on a couple of them. Good luck man keep pushing and keep us updated.

Yeah i brought a set of cammies But i didnt get them altered for training (diffrent name tags, no US Navy...) We are issued 5 sets of cammies... that should be enough...

almost done with Week 2...
