Hi Everyone!!
I have been reading all 600+ posts on here for the past two days, soaking up as much info as I can and I envy you all! You seem to have everything figured out and make life as a SEAL Wife look like a breeze!
I am not yet a SEAL Wife, I am however a new Navy Wife as of April 5th this year..:-D...and...I am also 4 months pregnant.
My husband just received orders to attend Pre-BUD/S in August this year for up to 2 months prior to attending BUD/S here in SD. I am assuming since most of your husbands are already SEALs you may not know much about this since it is the first time they are trying it, however, it is worth a try.
One of my questions was whether or not and/or how easy it will be for him to come home for the birth of our baby early October? Can they get certain kinds of leave, other than emergency leave so he can come home in time? I am quite nervous about this because none of our family members will be living in the USA at the time, and most of my friends here are obviously young and busy. I am 22 btw.
Also, what do all you fine ladies think of the medical care provided by the Navy/Military in general? I have heard that Military medical does not come close to civilian care..is this true? I am deciding on whether or not to stay with my current care provider (with the baby also) or to go with one of the network providers TRICare offers. Any advice?
This is long so I will most more questions later...THANK YOU!!
