Hey I'm in the middle of air right now in eod school. I feel like I've came a long way since that first day at boot, but I still have a long road ahead. I want to be a tech more than anything but I'm getting frustrated and tired. I've got a double tap under my belt and I feel the pressure from that every day. With the new CMC in charge I don't think I'll make it if I double tap again. Any words of wisdom from anyone who's made it?

Hey there. Keep your head up and stay focused on just the next test. You're almost there. I graduate on Wednesday. Everybody feels like this at around the same point. I have heard about the new policies from the CMC on getting rolled and it's a good thing. Too many guys, IMHO were getting too many chances. If you're in air, you've done pretty well. Are you from boot or the fleet. If you're from the fleet, you should have no problem staying motivated to get through this and be a part of something special like this. Once you get to underwater, it's a whole new ballgame. It's great to be back in the water. Just try and focus on the next test. Not the amount of time you have left. It's an amazing feeling to get to the end. Good luck. Keep your head up, but nobody can motivate you but yourself. You're responsible for that.

Honestly, if you can't motivate yourself enough to finish, you probably don't want it as much as you thought you did. Everyone has a few bad days now and then, but if you can't manage to overcome what others have, then maybe you're simply not qualified... yet. Take a long hard look at your situation and be honest with your intentions; no use lying to yourself only to later fail.

Forgive me for sounding like such a pessimist/*******. I'm really didn't intend to. So now for something optimistic :) This is a problem that can be fixed, and you have the tools -- The outcome is decided by you.

coronadoreamin, unless you've been to the school, don't pass judgement. EOD school is exceptionally long. It's a slow squeeze that seems to go on forever.

Tech intraining, as Gator said, everyone goes through it. Time to ruck up and keep moving forward, there is really no alternative. You've had just a small taste of what the community is about, but even that is much better than the fleet. Get out of there on long weekends; do what you have to to blow some steam off. Concentrate on the next test and just remember, it was harder back in the day.

My apologies, to both Tech and you. I was a bit rash and rude in my comment, and I only hope for the best regarding you, Tech. After all, we are in the same side here! :)

i dont know if this will help but i went through some stuff awhile back and before i began i was told to remember the saying.

" As all brotheren have done, that have come this way before me."

i think the tought of this will help me once i get to BUD/S

anyone who is in that community or any specops community for that matter has BTDT and had that same feeling at some point and they pushed on and made it.

Consider that and this a warning. You need to read more post less.

Question was asked and is to be answered by some one who has BTDT. All else please refrain from posting ANYTHING here.

Answering questions on this forums should only be done by BTDT people. You and many, many others need to understand this concept. You were slammed for reply to the question and quite honestly you deserved it. This is lesson number one, learn and do not post responses unless you have specific expertise on the subject matter.

Stay away from BTDT forums unless you have a question. There are many sets of eyes out there watching these forums and this is one of the abuses that is very high on our list to correct.
