Well, after searching this forum for awhile and just getting off the phone with a Motivator, I still have some questions and thought I would ask you gentlemen;

First, I know I could call a recruiter and find out the answers to these but I am at work and cannot make personal phone calls so I thought I would start this thread and see if I get any answers before I am done with work.

I am prior-service Army National Guard. I did my 6 years, but still have 2 left on in-active reserve. Can I still enlist in the Navy even though I am in-active reserve?

Would my Army rank (E4) transfer over to the Navy?

Do prior-service have to go through Navy boot, or just to the Great Lakes BUD/s prep with a SEAL Challenge contract?

And finally, would my 6 years in the National Guard count towards my 20 for retirement in the Navy?

I am not sure if I posted in the right area, so feel free to move the thread. Thanks in advance.

Just a lil paper work to get released to the navy.

Expect to lose rank.

I had prior service army in my division when I went to boot, that was a while ago...

and yes, 6 years of a government job will count for any government job, navy included.
