those are pretty good scores, the pull ups are excellent... my mentor pushes all of us to go for the following
swim <8:30

Pushups> 80
situps> 80
pullups>15

run < 9:00

even if you can get these scores, keep it up and keep improving. the better the fitness, the better than chance of success

Yes, those are pretty decent scores, but your question is problematic. Even if they were world class, you should still be working on them. Why would you stop?

Some things to think about:

Guys with run times of 9:52-10:12 -- 27.9% completed BUD/S.
Guys with run times less than 9:51 -- 41.5% completed BUD/S.
Guys with run times less than 9:33 and swim times less than 10:11 -- 55.2% completed BUD/S.

Scskowron, thanks for posting that man, I had never seen that before. That is another big motivator to think about, to push to the next level of fitness.

to the OP, yeah those scores are good. It doesn't matter what we think though, it's what you think. To quote BUD/S Sucks "lesser men than you have made it through the program."

The PST gets your foot in the door. The real test is not DOR-ing.

That quote was origonally from a great man, SOCM Will Guild. He's a great mentor and for any who go to BUD/S, I highly recommend yielding to his knowledge and recommendations. If, by some chance he doesn't speak to your class on a regular basis, then seek him out after hell week. His saturday sessions at the CTT are an absolutely awesome aid in making it through pool comp.

By the way, my run was a little faster (~9:30's) when I went, but overall your scores are great for a PST. Only question is, have yuou trained your body for BUD/S, or for the PST? A great score on a PST is nice, but if all you did was prepare for the PST, then BUD/S is going to prove a great challenge for you. I had decent PST scores, but I could run 27/28min 4milers and swim low 70 2 milers all througout BUD/S.

It seems like these posts take a turn and end up in who is better than who at the pst. Posts like this have been answered many times so if your wondering if your scores are good you should compare in the other posts that have been done about this subject.

Your scores are good ill give you that but I also think you should continue improving them. Do other workouts for awhile not focusing on the PST then after about 2 months do the PST again and see how you improved. If you can already pass the PST then start your workouts for BUDs because thats more important in the long run.

I was asking because I'd like to take runs and swims for longer distances. I want to make sure im good on the pst first. Maybe I can start doing the four mile runs and 2 mile swims, because so far I've only trained specifically for the pst.

Oh yeah Id go for the long stuff now. Your scores are good and should get you to BUDs. Work on the long stuff but occasionally add in some sprint swimming and sprint running, just to mix it up.

Was not trying to compare to others in this specific post... But yes I understand what your saying sbd22 and will look for other posts before asking.

spencefoz,

You should do the PST all at once in the order it's written, because your scores will drop a little. especially the pull ups after push ups.

Doing the swim first will also tire you out for everything, depending on how good a swimmer you are...
