Should i ever consider marriage as a Seal, i just dont know how it would work because once i go into the Navy im never leaving(alive) and there isnt allot of "peace" nowadays and non-military families have marital dificulties, so they may be greater if one of them is a Seal i was just if it is a viable option as i still dont know if i will ever marry.

i'm sure you could find a nice female seal to settle down with and raise some cute little pups, though most people would frown on interspecies dating : )
lol!
But you're right - although I have to add 'they say' that military families are by default dysfunctional families; God & country first - and if the military really wanted you to have a wife, they'd assign you one and all. However, I grew up a happy military brat, married a military man (granted, later in his career, so his 1st wife put up with his travel) and now have a military stepson, and it just makes me proud. Yes, there's always challenges, but I also have a non-military friend with 5 kids whose husband travels 5 months out of the year, and she doesn't have the support group that can be found within this community.
Nothing truly worth it is ever easy, and that includes a good marriage.

Thank you stepmom2SEAL. That gives me hope as a new wife. You hear such negative stories about Military relationships and marriages, so it is good to hear a successful side.
Thank you.

This sums it up! I've only been married for 2 1/2 years, and of course my husband has been gone for more than half of it... but reguardless of how much he's gone it ALL comes down to him being a good man. Are marriage works because he's a good man, whether he's a SEAL or not really makes no difference to me (of course I'm proud of him), but the fact that he loves our daughter and loves me, and always puts us first I'll support him always. You can make anything work if you try hard enough.
