Hey everyone, just like to give a quick introduction before I post this. My name is Stephen and I'm a Junior at Baxter Springs High School. I currently run Track (I'm a sprinter) and play football. I grew up in a family full of veterans ranging from WWII to Vietnam to recent conflicts like Beruit and Grenada. I've wanted to serve my country ever since I was just a little kid, hearing about my uncle's deployments (twice in Beruit, once to Grenada) and his rewards for his actions. He was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps and operated in one of the ANGLICO Companys and worked closely with Navy SEALs during his time in the service.
Anyway, I've searched around and I have two questions that still remained un - answered. I may have missed something, so I'm sorry for any error in my research!
First, is it to early to contact a SEAL Mentor or Navy Recruiter about taking the SEAL Challenge? I'm a Junior in High School and I turn seventeen years old on April 25th of this year.
Second, how does it work if your married? During the six months of initial training, are you granted time to see your family in between transitions?
Any help with these would be greatly appreciated and again, if I've missed something, I'm sorry in advance.
