I'm only a 16 year old high school junior right now, and being a seal is the only thing I've ever wanted to do. Does anybody know how long your term of enlistment is when you become a seal? thanks.

not that I'm aware of. What other information are you looking for?
51 months of obligated service upon final qualification as a SEAL. That's what the contract says.

I'm not looking for any other specific information. I just wanted to know for future reference, because I know I'll have questions later. Thanks for your help.

Contracts change. Mine was 4 years with a 24 month extension assuming I made it through training. If I didn't, it was 3 months paid back for every month spent in training. Example, you quit 3 months into training, you now owe the Navy the rest of your four years, plus nine months. Like I said though, things change.

Hey man, I am a in a similar posistion as you except for that I am a little older and in college. I found all of my information about the contract itself on military.com. There is a link for spec ops. It goes over the contract details but nothing in depth about BUD's and such that you will find here.
Luckily for you and I, there are now all kinds of online resources available for us.
