Well as of 10:30am this morning I faxed in my SWCC package. So hopefully within a few weeks I'll have my orders. I will keep you guys posted. Also for you guys that just went through SERE and are out in San Dog give us some updates on what to expect etc and any tips on anything that we should look to bring with us etc etc. Good luck guys, and god speed!!

well, i havent been around much lately, (its not as convenient to get internet as it was when i had a house...) and i still have not started BCT but i have learned a few things, as far as what to expect:
1. Expect to be on hold, its not a maybe... you will be on hold when you get here.
2. Expect to lose some #'s off your push ups and ESPECIALLY pullups after SERE
3. Expect to lose your BAH if you are not married to a CIVILLIAN
4. Expect long but not horrible days
5. Expect the guys that are here to try and lay low a little bit... its good to be the gray man
Practice treading water... alot
I'll try and get on here a little more often,
Good luck to anyone who may have classed up recently... that reads this forum every day... ;)

Good post bud, it should help some of us that are waiting to get out there. Though there is a certainty that you will put on hold do not use that to not train as hard. Once you get there, you only have one chance to do it. Better make the best of it...

SERE is one of the most enjoyable experiences you'll have, but you wont realize it till about a year afterwards. Just keep your wits about you, and accept the fact you are going to be cold and in pain.
