I am fairly new to this site but am currently training for BUD/s and working hard on my combat side stroke. I read in some other posts that it should take about 6-7 strokes per 25 yards in the pool to achieve a good 500 yard time. Through alot of hard work, I have managed to get my stroke count to routinely between 6-7 strokes per 25 yards yet I am still at about a 10 minute 500 yard swim. I don't feel like I'm gliding for extended periods of time which might slow me down a bit. Are there any tips or suggestions anyone could make as to how to lower my time?
Thanks for everyones help!

CSS DVD is available for purchase in our online store. It will provide all the instruction you need to lower your time

How long does it take you to fin two miles? The way I see and that it has been explained to me... You're only doing the CSS w/o fins for PST's. CSS is a fraction of BUD/S compared to how much time is spent finning. Train more with you fins. Sleep with your fins, love you fins.

A sub 10min 500y w/o fins is a very decent time. Unless you are a former swim team member or long time swimmer then thats a good time. The goal is comfort in the water and to be able to swim long distances with fins.
