hey guys, i met a sales rep for this product called Juice Plus while working out the other day. she gave me a shipment of this product and she explained it as a supplement/vitamin/vegetable-fruit replacement. i looked on google, but couldn't much reliable info. it was free so i took it from her(lol) but not sure i want to just start taking this with no info. if anyone knows anything about this product any info would be appreciated. also, i eats plenty of fruits everyday, so im not sure it would even help me, veggies too.
Thanks

My mom ordered it and I've been taking it. PERSONALLY, I don't find that the pills do anything really. That's just me, so just try it for yourself. However, I really like the meal replacement powder. I take it approximately 30-45 mins. before I workout and it gives me a good amount of energy without a crash after.

Hmm.....

I think I have a PDF file on it in my computer somewhere. It doesn't talk specifically about Juice Plus but any antioxidant vitamin mixture supplement and exercise induced oxidative stress. I can send you the file if you want...

oooh, Lelee (she's a nurse and hubby is a Frog) is a rep for this product also. She doesn't come here anymore, but I can email and see if I can coax her back to the site and to also answer your questions!!

My mom sells this stuff. I've done my own research on it and there have been some big studies done on it. I can tell when i'm taking it or not. I get sick less and can handle more workout volume and i recover faster. highly recommended. Lots of phytonutrients, antioxidants etc.

Here's my take on it:

The product might help a bit, I'll give them that, but for the price it's crap. My multi has most of that stuff...Ultra source of life it comes out to $0.70/day when you buy 180 tabs(3 tabs per serving) @ $42 from Amazon.

Here's another website with the nutrition info(buy from Amazon, it's cheaper) http://www.evitamins.com/product.asp?pid=4026

So yes the product, MIGHT be good, but the price is ****ing ridiculous, this multi will give you those benefits and more.

If I have $40 I'll go buy Prime Rib, Pork ribs and Lobster tails with some blueberries and cherries....Whole food is ALWAYS better than proccessed, concentrated powder/tab/etc...

Bottom line: If you can afford to burn $40 a month, a better investment will be Juice plus.

pipelinesurfer -- Here's a link to an article regarding Juice Plus. It's a critical look and a long read, but worth the time.

Personally, I would suggest that you consult your physician before taking any of the over the counter suppliments these days. It is my understanding that supplements are not regulated by the FDA. You never know what the manufacturers are actually putting into them.

the place I used to do PT at sold this. My guy explained it to me that it's designed for people that have busy workdays and cant get the correct servings of fruits and veggies, as well as giving you extra antioxidants and a couple more many syllable health words.
