View Full Version : Thursday 2/21 WOD
It's best if you can use suspended rings for this workout. If you've only got access to one set, use them for the push ups and do the dips on a stationary machine. If you don't have access to rings, do your push ups on a set of dumbells in order to get a deeper range of motion.

forgot to get totals. Remembered the lowest though 15 on dips and 26 and push ups. Now I am off to MEPS in New Orleans.

It is SO nice having two sets of rings. It would probably be worth it to buy a second set if my brother didn't already have a set. I get such a better chest workout when I do my PU's on them.
Ring PU's 30, 22, 23, 22, 23 total: 120
Ring Dips 12, 11, 11, 12, 11 total: 57

Had to do regular on both exercises. I was much happier today than the last time I did this workout. I'm starting to get better at hauling my big clumsy @ss around:)
Did Armstrong routine to begin.
WOD:
PU's (done on db's): 36/30/25 (this set sucked...bad)/27/28
Dips: 22/16/13/17/13
For the PU's I was either pushing or in lean rest, so was able to stay on all fours the whole time...not that that is a HUGE accomplishment, but last time I couldn't manage it. Now I just need to work on staying up the whole time for dips...I managed that for the 1st 2 rounds.
Will do the SEAL fit swim when I go to work later on tonight.
Don't be too impressed w/ my numbers. I sub'd the ring pushups w/ 15 lb weights.
Pushups: 77, 46, 30, 25, 26
Dips: 30, 15, 21, 17, 16
I warmed up w/ 2 hours of some hardcore basketball. Did 13 pullups before, and 13 elbows to knees after. I was pretty much dead. I did get stares at the gym today.

no rings, push ups on dbs and regular rings.
Pushups- 42-30-32-30-31(pretty psyched i beat my last one)
Dips- 35-33-28-27-32(got a second wind on the last round i guess)
for SEAL fit no pool so 4x'd the distance and did a bike- 4.54 miles- ~12:00
another fitness club meeting tonight, planning on a 2 mile run with some sprints and pt thrown in.
p.s. i think my club is starting to regret voting me president! lmao ;P

Push-ups were on DB's and dips on bars
PU's: 35,30,30,30,28 = 153
Dips: 17,17,19,19,17 = 89
These are the two calisthenic exercises I'm worst at so I am semi-happy with my numbers.

Used db's. I only remember the 1st and last rounds.
1st: 39 pu's, 25 dips
last: 25 pu's, 21 dips
got 6 bar mu's at the end. I was happy about that, hopefully we'll have a wod with some mu's soon. i've been using the 4pullups 4dip routine in the past.

dips = 15-14-12-12-12
As Rx'd with rings.
Push ups = 20,15,13,14,12
Dips = 5,7,7,6,4
Dips suck!!

ring push-ups: 25+20+16+17+16 = 94
ring dips: 17+14+12+11+10 = 64

Don't have rings, unless you count the ones around my collar.....
Dumbbell Push-ups = 35, 30, 26, 22, 22
Dips = 11, 11, 8, 8, 5
** Dips are a week spot, but will get better.

BW: 191 at game time...
As RX'd on Rings for both
PUs: 29, 15, 12, 11, 11 = 78
Dips: 15, 12, 11, 10, 11 = 59
Total = 137
Had to use my 1 min "rest" to adjust the rings from Push-up to Ring heights, regardless, I definitely went to failure again and again during those alternating 1 minute flurries.
