This was my first Crossfit WOD ever and now is one of my top three. I love this wod, I started out doing HSPU's on the smith machine and now can do them unassisted against the wall. My ROM isn't perfect but I go down to a pad that I have that is about 1 3/4 in. off the ground. Eventually they will be freestanding HSPU!!

Forgot my watch.... also dropped the weight for the deadlifts to 185.

didnt time myself cause i was using a straightbar for the DLs and i dont have great form with it. did the 21 with 225, then dropped to 185 for 15 and 9. good HSPUs off a wall though.

time- ~8-9:00

gotta do a fitness club meeting later today, so i do some running and pt then.

btw, i havent seen any posts from danodec lately, where ya at bro?

I would say that my form on the hspu were less than stellar. Definitely need to work on them.

It took me 17 min to do this WOD. I had a lot of trouble with the HSPUs. This was my first time doing them, and could do only two or three at a time. Should I have done modified HSPUs in order to make it more of an aerobic work-out??

This morning I tried to OHS my bodyweight (175#) 15 times but only got 7 before my wrists gave out, I hope to get this in a months time. Hoo-yah!

Didn't feel strong today. DL's got the better of me, but on a positive note, I was a minute faster than last time(about 5 weeks ago). Hoo Yah

Started with armstrong pull-up pyramid: got up to 8 rds+6 before having to go back down.

Diane as w/235 deadlift: 9 mins
Worst part: Deads took me less than a minute total to complete...that means I spent the rest of the time doing those damn hspus:mad: lol, oh well. My form sucked on the hspus because try as I might I just couldn't get my arms to go down as far as a wanted...I suppose this will come with more practice. I'm not too mad about that though because overall my shoulders got a killer workout.

SEAL fit (sidestroke):
100yds: 1:54 (guess I added an extra round oops)
200yds: 3:52
300yds: 5:52
400yds: 8:15 (dunno what happened here, try as I might my legs just sink like it's their job. Hopefully I'll do better once I get some fins)

Lowered the DL to 200# and used the smith machine on HSPU. I continually raised the smith machine on each round and also did the full 225# on final round.

Time = 9:31

Oh..I did stop the clock while adjusting smith machine and putting weights on the bar for final DL.

I've been looking forward to seeing Dianne again. I never did her as RX'd because I couldn't quite power through 45 HSPUs (last date w/ Dianne was in early Jan). This time I did all the HSPUs! Got through 21 in set of 10, 6, 5; 15 in set of 6, 5, 4; and set of 9 in 4, 3, 2. Solid improvement.

BW: 188 (post morning poo, pre breakfast #1 of oatmeal and fruit smoothie)
Now on to breakfast #2... yum.
