My idol...

I know it was 4 years ago, but nobody put up a thread for him; so I am...

From Wikipedia:

"Helvenston's team got lost on the way to the base and spent the night of the 30th at a Marine outpost outside of Fallujah. The next morning, March 31, they set out, intending to travel directly through the city. Iraqi insurgents ambushed the convoy.

The four contractors were killed with grenades and small arms fire, their bodies dragged from their vehicles, beaten and set ablaze. Their burned corpses were then dragged through the streets. Helvenston's dismembered torso, along with that of one of his colleagues, was then hung from a bridge crossing the Euphrates"

What an incredible loss to his family and our country.
It was nice of you to put up a thread for him.

I had spoken some time ago about this fallen warrior & that BQ<Brigade Quartermasters>were having a special sale on his books & materials; proceeds off the sale get donated 2 Scott's family. We all feel the loss of this Intrepid warrior & the others like Scott who gave their lives in the name of freedom; It's up 2 us 2 never 4get the sacrifices that he & others made in the name of Freedom & Democracy.

Here's the post under "Spec. Ops. Legends & History": Paying late respects to a fallen SEAL: Scott Helvenston
