First off, I am extremely excited to see all the activity on this site! It seems like we have finally gotten our community involved. Second, good luck to all of you heading out to SWCC school. Remember, if you are thinking about quitting at any time, you need written permission from me.

Now, we take pride in the SWCC forums of having the most civil and educational forums on this site. To keep it this way, I have some guidelines to follow.

1. People come here to get information. For some this is their first stop on the internet. Comments like "look it up on Google," or "You would know this if you had looked on the Official SWCC Site" do not make a friendly reception for the newest members. Instead, tell them we are happy to have them come by and them provide them the information... without the lip. You may know where all the info is, but they may not have the time, experience with the internet, or background knowledge to do the searches. Help them.

2. Personal attacks are never OK. If someone needs punitive correction, take it to personal messages. If they do not correct it, contact me. If they still want to be a jackanape, ignore them. There is nothing worse for an internet troll than to be ignored. This is the only way I have found to defeat them.

3. Respect, respect, respect. Respect all branches, races, education levels, intellegence, and good intentions. There is no room here for racists, bigots, or people with big heads. Take that somewhere else.

4. Have fun. We have a great community here based on respect for all. This is the foundation for fun for everyone. Keep that in mind.

These are loose guidelines. I am sure if someone does a search they will see I have talked about this before. This is the best forum about SWCC anywhere on the internet. I take pride in that and you should as well.

Hello, I am a former Navy veteran served from 1986-1990. My 13 year old son is interested in the Navy Seal program. I would like to communicate with someone who can help me answer my questions. Please respond to: navygal41. Thank you and God Bless all of you serving for our wonderful country.

HOOYAH Brother!!

I'm a dumbass boat guy too----just a different generation. However, I agree with this. THIS is the best SWCC info site on the web. There are a lot of vets here, and a lot of active Boatmen.

If you are a DEPper, don't you dare tell the BTDT's how it is. That kills me and I will STOMP on you for it.

However---I have noticed that the SWCC forum is generally a very good one------a diamond in a goats' ***.
