Ive drank about 1/8 to 1/4 gallon of milk every day of my life for as long as i can remember and as far as ive seen my body can handle almost anything that would normally injure someone. I have never broken a bone or done any major tendon injuries and iv been active my entire life and done many things to injure myself. I can think of many instances where my bones should have broken and my tendons or ligaments should have torn. The only time that i can recall something that seemed like a break was in my finger when a 65lb weight dropped on it. I still had full use of it but later i found a bump on the bone. I think that the milk has atleast a small amount to do with it although i dont like to drink alot especially if im going to work out because it will make me puke if i run after drinking it. It also may have to do a little with genetics because my dad an my brother are the same way.

Well it's good that your mostly injury free but keep these things in mind
1. You've been drinking it every day all your life so you don't have anything to compare it to.
2. While it makes sense and yes it's probably true, this is not scientific and does not explain that drinking more milk leads to less injuries
3. Injuries heal much faster in young than middle-aged and older people.
I'm not a nutrition expert so I don't really know much about how milk prevents injuries but I agree with you that it's great, and I'm going to continue to drink it.

I can same the same thing, ebriggs...
EXCEPT, I don't drink milk...at all. Humans are the only mammal to continue to consume milk after being "weened".
Keep in mind, calcium is good for the body, but there are several serious side effects to having too much calcium.

i dont drink massive amounts of milk i just drink it steadily. your correct that it may not be the milk but i like milk, its generally good for you in moderation and it seems to work fine. i heard that people who havent run in boots before risk injury is this because theyre tendons arent used to the strain?

no, it's because they didn't drink enough milk.
