I hate the Giants less...but they really don't have any realistic chance. Look for a blowout of epic proportions.
55 - 13 Pats.

Really they dont have a chance? Last time I checked they lost 38-35 about a month ago to the Pats. Probably could have won it too had it not been for poor clock management. In fact the G-Men are something like 11-1 when on the road this year. That's something to think about.
I'd say they have a damn good shot at winning it. But then again they aren't 18-0 either so who knows?

The only time I predict games is when one of two different scenarios occur....the aggies are playing...or anyother team is playing texas university..in which case I always predict in favor of the aggies and aginst the t-sips! :D
But in this case I will make an exception...
Pats 38 G-men 21

That's right...they have no chance. And yes, I recall the previous game...I even watched it. Point being, Belichick has now had the opportunity to *cough*"observe"*cough* the NY offensive and defensive signals...and we ALL know what happens then...
In all seriousness, the Pats are fully rested now and recharged. You'll see the offense that was in full power the first half of the season. And, NY's weak secondary will get exposed in the perfect, warm conditions of Arizona instead of the craptastic weather they played in on Dec 29.
Believe me, i'd MUCH rather see the Giants win...I think. I don't know, I might actually prefer to see the Pats win just so the grossly annoying '72 Dolphins and their fans will stfu.

Brady wants an undefeated season plus the superbowl. He's hungry. The Giants would like to take down a team that had an undefeated season. Depending on Brady's ankle - which was taped up pretty good today during practice - the game could go either way.
I think it's going to be the Pats.

The Patriots cannot play smashmouth football. Nuff said. If the Giants stick it to em they can definitely come out on top. And the NY has been play some fantastic football lately and not turning the ball over.
0 intercpetions from Manning in the post season. Hmmmmm.
I might actually prefer to see the Pats win just so the grossly annoying '72 Dolphins and their fans will stfu.

Was that the game with Dallas??

No, Dallas beat Miami the year before. The '72 Superbowl was played on Jan 14, '73 in Los Angeles between the Dolphins and the Redskins. Miami won 14-7 to complete it's 17-0 perfect season.

As much as I'd like to see the Giants win, and I will be rooting for them, I think the Pats will come out on top, unfortunately!
GO GIANTS!!!!

I actually see the Giants defense coming up big in this game. Brady won't fare very well under the pass rush. The Pats D won't look so great against the Giants big men(Burress and Shockey).
Giants 31 Pats 17

I'm a Massachusetts boy going to school in NYC, where I'll be watching the big game...But I'm definitely sticking by my Pats.
I predict:
Pats 35-30
Brady passes 3 TD's, 1 special teams/defense TD, 1 rushing TD
Manning passes 3 TDs and Tynes kicks 3 FG

I agree, Shar. Just based on the Pats' record. I'm a New Yorker, but unlike baseball, I have no football loyalty!

Huge football fan here...I just want to see a good competitive game. I would hate for the Super Bowl to be a complete blowout...tends to ruin it for me.
GO GIANTS!!!!!

That is unless the Patriots are the ones being trounced. I would relish that. Remember the '01 championship game? Remember the Raiders???
Patriots must die. Hate them even more than I hate the Broncos and the 'niners----thats saying a LOT!

SS makes an excellent point. That was the infamous "tuck rule" game. Anyone who has EVER played competitive football at any level will tell you that ball was a fumble clear as day. The Raiders were robbed and New England was the recipient of a Super Bowl bid that they didn't earn.
With all that, I still can't hate them more than the '72 Dophins however.

I would love to see the Giants as the Champs. I still want to see a competitive game...just makes it that much more enjoyable...but that's just me!

Back in august when they were playing preseaon games, I made my prediction to all my friends and anybody who would listen. That my New York football Giants would win the Super Bowl. Of course I was laughed at, ridiculed and whatnot. I was told not to even expect a playoff birth. Well, I am laughing now. It's not over yet, but I have a very good feeling about this Giants team.
Ill, didn't Hasselbeck used to be a q.b. for the Giants? Why did he leave? Was it his choice or the Giants?

yes hasselbeck used to be a backup for the G-Men. However, it was Tim Hasselbeck, not Matt Hasselbeck of the Seahawks. (probably the guy you are referring to) I believe Tim was the older brother, he is retired now. On a sidenote, Matt Hasselbeck used to be the backup on Green Bay behind Brett Favre through his rookie years a while back before being traded to Seattle.

Great game. I went in supporting the Pats, but the Giants were too impressive to ignore. You have to hand it to them. They never gave up.

P.S. anyone else impressed with the Declaration Of Independence salute in the beginning? Well done.

words can't express how happy i am... everyone called me crazy at the beginning of the year. They called me even stupid for thinking my Giants had a chance 2 weeks ago when they beat the Packers. all I can say is... A HAW!

Yeah, I agree. The Giants' defense was incredible. They looked like a swarm of killer bees, all focused on Brady. He did a great job with the line drive at the end, but with the 2 1/2 minutes left on the clock, Manning made the most of it.
As disappointing as the loss was to the Pats, I felt it showed bad sportsmanship to have their coach and players leave the game before the last seconds of the game.

Yep Kamy ~ very poor sportsmanship by the Pats by leaving the field before the last few seconds ticked off the clock.
