howdy folks! i am a member of armyranger.com and every year the have a site get together where everyone gathers from all over the country. i was thinking maybe we could try to plan something like that! i have a farm in georgia with well over 200 acres so we could have it there. we could charge 10 bucks a person and all the money could go to the children that have lost a mom or dad in iraq! we could have food, live entertainment, fishing ( i have a big lake with 4 boats), swimming, a few fun competitions and even camping! then to end everything a huge dinner! id like to do it on a friday through sunday. im only about 25 min. from the airport. and if someone needed help paying for tickets for the flight id be more than happy to help! tell me what you guys think! id like to do it sometime in the summer!

SAR ... Legend :D

I know the idea has been touted a couple of times ... but i say yes, yes and YES again. I think its a great idea, we definitely make the most of it and try turn it into an annual tradition. I love the idea of the big dinner YUM :D and a couple of competitions ... something like the NSC annual treasure hunt with a frogman theme that everybody can get involved ... theme for the hunt is "It pays to be a Winner". (plus you got water nearby) And yes $10 or $20 a head to a cause like that would be excellent!

Youve got your first attendee buddy!!

Excellent idea! You can count me in on the festivities and if you need any help with the planning just let me know. As for getting the supporter moniker...you have to be a paying member at NSC for that. Just click on the green "UPGRADE" box on the right hand side of the forum page.

When I lived in San Diego I got together several times with people from this site. It was a lot of fun. We actually met up at the famous (or is it 'infamous') McP's in Coronado for drinks etc. It was great to have faces to go with the monikers. Most of the people I met back then aren't around on the site now. :(

Sounds familiar.....except the 2 hours sleep in the team area part. Been to the team area with my son though.....so where exactly did you sleep? Guess on the couches? Couldn't find a woman's bed to borrow? ha ha ha.

OMG, speaking of Danny's, wow, BEST burgers in the San Diego area IMO. Although there's a place in Poway that I love, and another in Oceanside. WOW, I am getting so hungry just thinking of it!

Sounds like a great idea SAR. I vote for bar-b-que beef brisket, corn on the cob, fried chicken, smoked sausage, baked beans, salad, watermelon, chocolate cake and cherry pie. Those are my favorites.

I like the thought of everyone getting together but unless it is in either San Diego or Viginia Beach I boubt any Active Duty guys are going to make it. I'd love to make a night of it in Coronado some time though. And Courtney, I'm still around. I don't post much...but always lurking. Most of the questions people have don't need my input and honestly aren't worth the time it would take to anwser the question and then argue with everyone that disagrees with my opinion. BTW, Burgers and Danny's have really gone down since Nacho left. He opened his own joint in North Park right on the edge of Hillcrest.

Sar ~ Since you're planning on doing this during the summer months, I'd say stick with the BBQ menu. Burgers, Dogs, Sausages, Brats, Salads and fruit would be good along with plenty of beer, alcohol, soda and let's not forget the bottled water.

As far as things to do...I'm up for a good competitive game of volleyball, baseball...things of that nature.

well im going to do my best to get as many of us together as possible! and fyi it doesnt matter who you are you can come. i have put together a few rules and the rules are as follows!

1.) please show respect for one another. there will be alot of different people from different branches of the military. if anyone and i meen anyone is disrespectful to another person male or female based on their choice of military service, political views, race, religon or even for the way they are you will be forced to leave without refund.

2.) with all that being said this is a party. we are honoring those who hae given the ultimate sacrafice. this is not the time for you to pull out your own political agenda. please dont show up protesting the war. it may be a freedom to do in our country but your not welcome on my property. and ill be carrying around a loaded glock 19 the whole time and im not afraid to use it!

3.) you can yell. and you can swear. but you cant do both together.i know there will be alot of children in attendance. nuff said.

4.) if you want to bring a firearm or a few im all for it. however it is expected that you check your weopon in with me or one of my assistants when you arrive. and if you are not carrying your weopon on you it is to have a trigger guard on it. and locked up at all times. i do have a shooting range. and alot of targets. you can bring your own if you want. i dont care what you shoot either. if you have an at4 bring it. i dont really care.

5.) no explosions. i have horses. and my horses are ok with gun fire but not big booms. i know some of you drmo guys are going to be wanting to put some craters in my fields but please dont. if you have something you really really want to blow up talk to me about it! we may be able to work something out!

6.) fighting. if you have a dissagreement with someone and feel it needs to come to blows thats fine by me. i have boxing gloves. im going to set up an area just so you guys can beat the hell out of each other. if someone says their done that the end of the fight.

7.)you can drink as much as you want. but you may not drive. if you arecaught driving anywhere or anything on my property while intoxicated ill turn you over to the sherriff.

8.) have fun!! this is for all of us!! lets have a good time!!! i have alot of friends coming from all over the eastern sea board!! about 200 so far!!! and their families as well!!!

9.) if you are a registerd sex offender you must check in with me. if i find out you are with out you telling me ill report you myself beat the hell out of you and toss your sorry *** out of my party.

10.) if any of these rules are broken you will be removed without warning. there will not be a refund. if you just want to stop by and your not eating or camping you may get a 4 hour pass free of charge but are going to be forced to leave or pay the entry fee amount at the end of that time. you may only get (1) 4 hour pass every 24 hours.

let me know if you folks think something needs added!!!

everyone thats camping will get a 50ft by 75 ft camping space. you may bring rv's, busses, tents or anything else that you want! you will be allowed to pick your camping area. im going to make a map and post it on here so you guys have an idea of what im talking about. in may i will ask everyone to send me an e-mail that is going and i will send the address and everything in return. i have 15 acres of woods. im asking that no hunting take place. if you guys want to hunt you can stay an extra day and we will hunt on monday. i just dont want bullets flying around. i have had a few parties and no injuries as of yet! lets keep it that way!! and dive doc im assuming you are medicaly certified so i may have a job for you during the party! i need a small group of medical techs like 5 or so. in order to qualify you must be cpr certified and be certified in first aid 1 and 2. or something in equivelance. im paying 50 bucks to everyone that works for me. i already have damn near all my other things needed filled. i just need medics now. im paramedic certified my self but im going to be to buisy! anyway we are going to call this the first annual NavySEALs.com SEALSTOCK!! ( with the site admins ok) if anyone has a band let me know. i have 5 bands booked so far. 2 oldies bands..2 country bands and a hard rock band. and maybe a blues/jazz style band too. my e-mail addy is libertybellringing@yahoo.com contact me if you dont want to on here. bathrooms are not a problem by the way. we already have outhouses set up through out the farm. and you men can just just take a leak by the woods im sure! oh yeah another rule i forgot was no overdoing the pda! kissing hugging cuddling thats all fine! but anything beyond that needs to be done in the privacy of your camp site!! and remember if others can hear it it still counts as pda!!!!im working my tail off so this all runs smoothly!! and one of my C/O's will be attending so i dont want any problems!!the county has approved it! i just got off the phone with a few counselmen and they love the idea. and problobly will attend as well. i know alot of police from the area will be there in attendance ( off duty of course and to have fun!) oh yeah no drug use! not even a little pot! if your caught your going to be turned over to the police department or sheriffs office.

Also, USNavySAR...

I am a pretty damn good BBQ'er, to toot my own horn. During Football season, I usually smoke ribs, brisket, bologna, etc etc. If I'm able to make it, I'll help with food as well, but if not able to make it I will throw out some tips to whomever is cooking it if they want them.
