Women in Special Ops Forum

It is my understanding that the Women in Special Ops forum is for just that. The sub-title clearly states...Forum for our female special operators. There are a resounding number of threads in this forum concerning women in the SEALs which leads to heated arguments on a regular basis.

At present women are not permitted under military rules and regulations to serve in combat. As I've posted here before, agree or disagree, like it or not, that's just how it is so....suck it up and deal with it. Personally I just don't see the point in discussing something that isn't permitted. People feel very passionately about this very subject and it seems that nobody is going to agree to disagree.

This very argument has been going on for years, yet nothing changes. IMHO this is what keeps the SEALs from posting here. I've read many posts here from the "younger" guys who would like nothing more than to have their questions answered by the BTDT's. Wouldn't that be a welcome change?

So I'll just ask everyone who posts here at NSC this...Should this very topic be made off limits? Should the Forum be removed altogether?

Take the attached poll to let Admin and the Moderators know what the Membership here would like to see happen.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and for voting.

I voted that it should stay without restriction but I'm new so maybe my vote doesn't matter.

Either way. I still don't understand why it's such a heavily debated topic. Women can't be in the SEALs. So what? You don't see me *****ing about it.

Story:

I was a kick *** little football player when I was younger. Always the best on my team of all boys. When I got to high school, I stopped playing football.

Why? Because girls weren't allowed.

Why weren't girls allowed? Because we would get KILLED.

After high school I played professional women's football. I'm still a kick *** football player, and I followed the rules.

Moral:
There's usually a reason why women aren't allowed to do certain things. This isn't the 50s. Strong women will FIND a place to use their talents.

I logged off before the crap hit the fan and wasn't back on until after SeaSpectre had already locked the thread. When I did log back in I was shocked to see Pammys10's reply to you.

For what it's worth...IMHO...you most certainly do not shame all women as Pammy said. I have been a woman my entire life and you didn't shame me at all. What really amazes me is that she came after you for what she viewed as you speaking for all women and then she turned right around and did the exact same thing. Amazing...truly amazing...WOW!!!

Don't ever feel that your vote doesn't matter...it does!

There is one thing I'd like to add to the end of your moral and that is this:

Strong women WILL find a place to use their talents....those who don't WILL continue to b-itch about it!

haha I didn't even read those responses until right now.

Since I'm a personal trainer for bodybuilders I find it awesome that she picked extreme fitness women as a base for her argument. Those women are on so many anabolics it's ridiculous.

Ah well. haha.

I actually change my vote. Because I gotta tell you, all those fights don't exactly make the best impression on visiting guests to the boards.

I'm against the idea of women in the SEALS and serving with women in combat, but I voted "Keep the Forum as is without restrictions".

I'd rather keep seeing that stupid dead end topic pop up, than having a freedom taken away.

I don't see it harming anyone, you want to participate in it while abiding by the forum rules(no flaming) you can, you think it's stupid(like I do), you ignore it, I don't think we should restrict something because it pisses some people off, f*** em, this ain't 3rd grade or a politically correct tea party.

Grow some big balls or go home.

BTW, considering women in the SEALS is stupid. :D
