I saw your post and your question made me curious as well. I found a downloadable PDF version for 8 bucks. I can't sleep and I'm on page 6 so far. I'm liking it so far. I'll let you know by the end of the night. Its only 122 pgs.
I haven't purchased this book yet but this book made my fangs grow a bit longer. I wonder what this one will be like, Im making this book http://www.expendableelite.com/ my last read on this subject. Let me know if you gave this book a read...its nice to know this guy gave everyone the finger when he was asked to break his bonds and ingnore his principles when ordered to...I REALLY LIKE THAT, can't emphasize how rare that is in this world. (For some reason, I'm saving this one for last) - I didn't see this title in the SEAL store.

Just wanted to put my two cents in on this book. The book was written as a college paper by RMCS(RET) Jeff Krauss. It is meant to be humorous and written about all the funny stuff he went through first as a SF in the army, then as a SEAL and as a SEAL going through army Ranger school. I found it a good read and personally knowing mr Krause it fits his personality. I recommend for a good laugh.

Just finished reading it. Its was 117 pgs on the pdf...probably more enjoyable on paper then it is reading off of a computer screen. I read some stuff I didnt hear or read about in other books/videos. Definitly worth your while.

you're probably not seeing that book in the SEAL store because it talks about the government deciding spec ops forces are expendable and sending them on BS suicide missions.

The book you want me to do what says nothing of any kind about spec ops being expendable and putting them on BS missions. Its a account of Mr. Krause's funny experiances going through army sf school Navy SEAL school and army ranger schools. The book is sold here on the site, I also believe the creater of the site is the one who wanted to publish Mr. Krause's book.

Sarswimmer17 honest mistake, Didley meant the other book I stumbled upon, The Expendable elite. I was and still am going to read that book. In the book Good To Go, it mentioned a politically influenced operation that could have cost a SEALs life just so some guy could take credit for that staged operation, and gain rank and reputation for something he didn’t earn. Didley, I’m no expert, but in my view they could all be viewed as suicide missions. Do you doubt the book (Expandable Elite) is authentic? (Friendly question) I don’t know why it isn’t a selection in the SEAL store, I could think of a few reasons though. If anyone here has ever read the Expendable Elite, please let me know what you thought. I’m sure it’s similar to Richard Marcinko book The Rogue Warrior (I haven’t read his books yet either). I did see his Red Cell DVD that I think I purchased off this website in the 90’s. I also purchased a very cool “book bag” that kept maps/documents dry…something I didn’t see in the SEAL store anymore.
The book You Want Me To Do What also mentioned a very unprofessional “soldier” he had to put up with. I really enjoyed reading it. Ostrich should definitely fork over some money to read it. I wouldn’t mind paying full price after reading it. It doesn’t just have a few good laughs; his experiences could definitely give a prospective soldier/sailor some forethought before joining up. <O:p

Hey not a problem ^_^...thx for the fact you tossed us about the book originally being a colloge paper. Poor Osterich :D ...just asked how the book was and I went off road on the subject and mentioned 3 other books. I was just looking to see if I could get a better deal on the book You Want Me To Do What and bumped into other stuff that got me thinking. I should have kept my comment short and simple. Im definitly taking Mr. Kraus advice to "keep your mouth shut" if I decide to join the military lol This site should offer a pdf version I think. Its less expensive that way but also less enjoyable to read. (Guess that depends on your preferences)...here I go again :o I'll shut up now lol

So is this book good if i were to purchase it for a workout book or is it a story about his journey through the training?

This is a biographical novel- a story told of the work and experiences of the author- as I recall there's no mention of regimine, weight training or any other form of "direction" for how to get into shape or prepare for the rigors of what Mr Krauss went through.
