Only con i can think of is the high sodium.

You can always drink the low sodium V8 which has 140mg of sodium VS 480mg for the regular one and has more potassium than the regular one which is a mineral we get too little of these days and has a big impact on energy levels and heart disease.

You can always add some vodka for that added kick.

The Sodium is the only thing I can think of. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, you just need to regulate your sodium in other areas so you don't get too much. I might be something as simple as not salting your dinner later on in the day.

If weight control is something you consider in your training program, make sure you take into account the calories. Most people tend to completely ignore the calories they DRINK on a daily basis.

Also, check the label and pay attention to any added sugar. I've never cared for the taste of V8 personally, so, I can't tell you what's on the label of nutritional information. Check it and see.

WARNING: Non-constructive post!

What a coincidence! Yesterday I pulled a can from a machine at work just to see if I still hated the taste. I hadn't even wasted a look on V8 for like two decades now. Oh man, it was nasty. It's like drinking cold tomato soup.

Maybe if you pop a can in a bowl, heat it up, finish with a touch of parsley. Get some nice french bread to dip in the soup and voila, you have a meal.
