My son whom I shall not mention his name is currently in pre- buds training or as some say who goes and who stays for the next round in January! I have asked him about some of his physical training and yes the water is cold! What I am told is the more you screw up the more you will be in the water, so I say to him don't screw up but as things turn out they always find a reason to dunk everyone at times. As an avid winter hunter for whitetail deer I have been in some cold places myself and have found myself getting cold at times. This is with insulated hunting gear on and yes it gets cold. As for the new guys starting buds it seems to me that mind over matter is the trick to surviving the cold waters of the pacific ocean. CAN IT BE DONE? Yes it can and I know only those with strong constitusions will survive the water portion of the BUDS training. I have watched many times films and programs on tv about BUDS Training and what I have come to conclude is people who go out for buds must have something to prove to themselves because we who donot know very little of what it is actually like to endure such punishment to one's body and mind. My hat is off to all whom serve our great nation but I must give an extra WHOA TO THESE YOUNY MEN FOR THEIR SACIFICE TO BECOME THE WORLDS MOST ELETE FIGHTING MACHINE. HANG IN THERE GUYS
