Hey, I just finally decided to read this book by Marcus Luttrell, i'm just curious of what your guy's thoughts on it are, I mean do you think its right what he did leaving his fallen comrades behind and escaping or do you think he should've died with his men? (Sorry if this topic has been posted before)

And do you think it was a wise decision to create a book about what SEALs go through and let everyone know of how much respect these guys earned?

The book is great for recruiting

And I feel that the Navy would rather have the operator back in action than have him just die because of some "honor" thing. I is honorable to die alongside your comrades, but isn't it MORE honorable to survive and go do it again?

I totally agree 110%, though none of us will ever know the pain the guy who has really been through, I personally don't think I could live with the deaths of my best friend and 3 other guys on my shoulders, but I don't know personally never going through that myself. But overall I mean the way the guy tells the story and talks about BUD/s is really motivating.
