Its all about form and pacing yourself. It is hard to explain good running technique via text. I am sure you could just google it or look on youtube. The internet has everything.
Just dont run too hard, fast, or long at first. Slowly progress your way up and be patient. Not doing so can lead to stress related injuries.

I was talking to my buddy Phil Reid about running for a non-runner. Points he made:
1. Try up to 30miles for the first week
2. Listen to your body and get a feel for the mileage,
3. depending on how your body feels, increase up to 7-10% in the mileage for the next week
He and I both stress listening to your body. This takes a loooooong trial and error process. When you get into running more and more, you will be able to develop this sixth sense.
Anyways, If you follow the 7-10% increase per week, your body should be able to respond properly.
Phil Reid has run a 1500m race in 3:42.54 to set some credibility to his words. He was also a NCAA All American in Cross Country.

It's real hard to give advice if I have no idea what your running schedule/times are like now. Give some idea as to what you are doing now and I'm sure you will get a lot better advice.

this may sound stupid but doenst it take far more than having a fast set of legs to be a SEAL i mean coudnt i be a SEAL that isnt a really great runner thats just a thought but it doesnt mean i wont train on my times or try running with weights.

you will run over 800 miles while at BUD/S so you would do well to be a very proficient runner.
