I'm just curious about blackwater, do you have to be prior Special Forces to join up??? I'm guessing its some secret underground organization that only allows certain individuals???
I've been in the Navy 4 years now and all I've wanted is BUD/s, but my command screwed me out of it multiple times and I'm tired of the BS. I'm really thinking of doing somethin else and gettin out, thanks for any info guys and feel free to PM me!

no you don't HAVE to be ex-special ops but it certainly would help. they do other things than simply acting as "mercenaries" (for lack of a better word because they're not really mercs)

Is everyone up to speed with Blackwater under fire lately? I can't believe these people are attacking these guys for doing their job! The guys with Blackwater are sitting ducks in Iraq providing security for our own, yet if some innocent people get caught in the crossfire, the $hit hits the fan and they're the bad guys!! It's just like Marcus Luttrell said. And the BS about "unprofessionalism". Give me a break! The brave men of Blackwater are warriors, to their soul. Putting themselves in harms way to protect those who can afford them. Their track record is outstanding.

Fact is, hired guns do what they have to do to get the job done. Leave it to a couple whiny voices to put restrictions and regulations on one of the most efficient and reliable services available today. They're hired guns for protecting a client. Not a white glove chauffeur service.

yes it is mentioned. It also says $550 a day salary. That's just icing on the cake.

whoa--

NO, you're not "immune" to foreign laws. don't go spreading that rumor around.

you do not have the same protections that united states military personnel or diplomatic personnel have. not by a long shot.

I Have some Email on Blackwater but probably can't post last time I posted things got a little hairy, in a nutshell Blackwater was not Cleared of wrongdoing in Bahgdad to the best of my knowledge unless have missed an email along the way. The F.B.I. investigated them and Found the killings unnecessary. There is also a State Dept connection that Includes Blackwater as a U.S. Government Organization, an Extension of The dept of Defense and The State Dept.
