Hi, just wanted to know if someone could give me a bit of insight as to how Eod tours work. For sea duty is it 6 months on 6 months off or what is the schedule like? if you have any information that would be apreciated, Thank You

Once out of school, you will be assigned to a Mobile Unit (Command). You will then be assigned to a detachment (4-8 pers). Assuming you see a full workup cycle, this will be 6 to 18 months of training prior to you deploying (depending on which mission you are assigned). Once you return, it will be 6-18 months until you deploy again. This is in a perfect world. Keep in mind we are not 100 percent manned, and are turning jobs down due to I tempo. There are many changes underway in the community right now. It's a good time to be an EOD Tech.
