anyone know the exact length of the pool you do your PST in? Is it a 50 meter pool or a 50 yard pool? Because a 50 meter pool actually translates to 54.7 yards. So if you swam 500 meters you would actually be swimming 547 yards. That could mean about 1 minute of difference between your swim times. just a thought.

This website in particular says 500 yds, so that should definitely be accurate.

There are actually 3 pools that you will/may swim in if you are enlisting - the one @ basic requires ~ 8 and 2/3 lengths for a 500 - so it's a 30 yard pool. A 25 is fairly common, and there is a 50 at BUD/S. Generally the longer the pool the slower your time is going to be if you are good off the wall, but being under 10 in any of them should really be no issue.

amb, so atleast one of the PSTs will be in a 30 yard pool? is that what you're saying.
