View Full Version : Wednesday 8/29 WOD "PST prep"
Give your legs a rest today. This workout is excellent PST prep.
Post each swim time, 500 and 1000, and add up all push ups, sit ups, and pull ups. Practice good form on all, because crummy ones don't count. Workout with a swim buddy if you have one.

This may be the only time I ask for a recommended substitute for the swim. All the pools I have access to are currently closed until next week. I will see what I can find, but my usual sub would be the C2 rower for equivalent distance.

I had to change distance (swim) to 500yd vice the 1000yd, not ready for 5000yd. My times were:
First: 500 = 15:04
(1) 500 = 15:12
(2) 500 = 15:20
(3) 500 = 15:22
(4) 500 = 15:35
(5) 500 = 16:20 (hit a wall)
Push-ups: 622
Sit-ups: 425
No pull-ups: I weigh 220lbs...am not strong enough yet
great workout....breathless for quite a while.

props to that guy though...I guess he is simulating some BUD/S instructor telling him to swim it again, and again, and again, and again.

Well done jakryabre. Not quite what I had in mind there, but my hat's off to your initiative.
The plan was to swim 500 yards, get out and do 5 sets of the pushups, situps, and pullups, and then do the 1000 yard swim.
Working out like this and you won't weigh 220 for long!!

No pool available so I just did the 2 minute drills
309 pushups
357 situps
41 pullups
