Post your 1 mile, 3 mile, and 1 mile times.

Rest as needed between each.

first mile 7:30
next three 19:15
last mile 7:45

Not bad, after a good leg workout the day prior. Now if I can just get my pull ups back on line

not to bag on your performance oconnor, but you ran 1 mile in 7:30 and then you ran 3 miles in 19ish minutes, which would average out to a little faster than 6:30 miles? Were you dragging *** on the mile runs?

Negative! I'm not a runner so I wouldn't pretend to know what's up with the times. I run as fast as I can, and the time I get is what I get. Maybe because I'm more used to a timed 3-mile run I know where to push myself extra, as compared to a mile sprint. Please post your times so I can see how I did in comparison

sorry oconnor, i just got my wisdom teeth out monday so i won't be doing any exercise, but once I do complete this WOD i will post my results. Don't expect to be impressed though, I doubt I can run 3 miles in 19 minutes at this point. I'm not exactly a runner either but I'm trying to change that.

Added Hills (around 90ft rising)

You nailed it. You use a different energy system in a 3mi versus a 1mi. You also use a different ratio of carbs/fats so that could be too.

I ran the single miles on a track, and ran the 3 mile on a 'marked' 5K trail, which, a it turns out, is actually 2.6 miles. My Nike iPod thing told me so. So it looks like a lot of people have really good 5K times. Not this guy though. Needs more work. I hear there might be some running in BUD/S...

I believe 5k is actually 3.1 miles.

I did not do this workout today. Im following a different workout program, but i did 3 miles in 22 minutes. Good job to everyone else on their times, they look good.

And the trail was marked 5K, or 3.1 miles. Running .1 over 3 miles didn't bother me as much as the actual 3.1 miles being 2.6.

maybe your nike ipod thing is wrong? why don't you go to favoriterun.com and map it out yourself. then let us know how long it really is/was.

Nope, my iPod was correct, as I was correct.
