View Full Version : Wed 8/8 WOD
Post your time for today's Workout of the Day http://www.navyseals.com/crossfit-workout-day. This is a tough one, and very much like a BUD/S style workout.
Anything under 30 minutes is respectable.
Puking is allowed (and encouraged).
Hoo-Yah!!

I am guessing it's just body weight squats right?

This looks like a huge ball buster of a workout. Where can we find the entire Crossfit program?

Are the pull ups kipping as they are on regular crossfit workouts or not?

i would guess that they are kipping since the default pullup for all crossfit workouts is a kipping pullup. i think if it was dead hang it would specify, but i could be wrong. Hopefully RORD will give us the answer.
Yes, it's a ball buster.
Check out the pdf download article "What is fitness?" on the WOD page and to www.crossfit.com to see the big picture.
kipping pullups are fine on this workout.
when the WOD says "squats" it means bodyweight squats.

took me about 45 minutes. The pullups alone took me about 5 minutes per set. Suffice to say that I am not fit enough for BUD/S yet. But i'll get there.

Sadly, it took 44 min to complete two rounds. Had to call it early for fear of the heat - 97 plus degrees and near equal humidity... I started to see stars and veered/stumbled off in the second round. I will have to conquer this one next time it comes up or try it again later. Pullups also took the longest time for each round.

I went to the gym yesterday morning before the 8/8 WOD got posted, so I did last Friday's workout (8/3). Deadlifts were at 200 lbs. and front squats at 100lbs. Finished it in 14:08. I'm going to do yesterdays workout today. Should be interesting. Looks pretty brutal.

Just found this site, been following CrossFit for a minute but this was a completely different level. Time 57 minutes....

Thanks. I went to their main site and I think I am going to subscribe to it. I coach a couple different sports and this stuff makes more sense then the heavy weight training programs that football coaches put their kids throuugh.

49:08 and that's the closest I've come to puking in the gym in a long time. Good job, kklingman. By the way, RORD, I'm far from respectable. I don't think I was done with the 2nd round in 30 minutes!!!!!
