Hello everyone,
For those that were not able to make it..the ceremony was amazing..July 4th was the first time i saw the statue.....and it was so emotional for me. I was so amazed to see that after 2 years...about 2,000 people showed up for this event...it comforts me that people remember him. The event showed me that his death has made a difference in many people all around that didn't know him ....His life was given for every single one of them...for all of you...for America....
Thank you for remembering Danny and all those that died on June 28th.....I am honor to call Danny my husband...my hero....My frogman.
Here are some pictures...
With warm regards to all,
Patsy L . Dietz

I wish I could comfort you somehow, I can't imagine your loss. I am sending a hug to you, and many prayers. I hope this email finds you well, you are a strong woman, and your husband is so proud, looking down knowing that what you do is an honor to his memory.

Well I am sorry I missed the ceremony. However I am in the middle of transferring duty stations and my family and I happened to be stop for the night in Fort Collins on the 4th and when I was watching the news I saw you on tv and they talked about the ceremony. So on the 5th we woke up and back tracked the 100 or so miles to see the statue. The memorial is truely amazing I am very impressed with the detail and the writings you should feel very proud to have something so amazing close to home like that. Also that Bellvue park was really nice the kids enjoyed that, someone directed us to it before we found the memorial. Take care, and the book is amazing.

Thank you Josh for making it out there with your family..that is so special. I don't live in Colorado...i am still back in Virginia Beach, VA. The place where i met Danny, married him and got the news of his death....Although, i did buried him out there in Colorado..because that is where he grew up and was from. His family still lives there..so they are lucky to have him and the statue out there...It was hard to depart from him and send him so far. I do go out there twice a year to see him..and now i can also go visit this wonderful statue!
The are going to build on Little Creek base in Virginia beach where he was station at a new SDVT-2 building by 2009. The building will be named after him..and that will be real special...because that was his first TEAM and his last TEAM....i will keep you posted. Thank you for your comments and support for Danny and the guys! Take care and God Bless your family!

I just finished Lone Survivor this weekend. Those men defined the word hero. Our country is truly blessed to have men like that defending us.

thank you for reading the book and saying those words....it is incredible that the human body can take that much...but what it comes down to is the passion that these men carry in their hearts....the passion for their job..the passion for good. Danny was so exited to go out there..knowing what he was getting into....he always made you feel like everything was going to be ok. i miss him every single day..because you don't cross the path of men like that every day....i am honored that i did. Take care and thank you for keeping these men alive through your words and heart.

I'll have to get that book. Hopefully its not on back order. Those NavySEAL books are gone pretty quickly here in Atlanta. BTW.. I'll be in VA Beach this weekend visiting my husband. Ive never been there before, so Im excited to see it.
Maria, women like you are so special and one of a kind. Your dedication to him even after his passing is something to admire. Men like Danny are extremely blessed to have you by their side..Im sure he knew that. God bless you both and many hugs to you.

Danny is a hero and an inspiration to us all. I am in training to become a SEAL, and hearing the stories of the heroism, courage, passion, dedication, and all out altruism that seems to come so naturally to these men motivates me to train harder to one day live up to their standards. I am sorry for your loss; but your love and dedication are proof that this job isn't completely thankless and makes me proud of my chosen career. Stay strong.
