What is the difference between regular running shoes and those cross country running shoes like the ones advertised on this site from UK Gear? Those shoes look pretty awsome.

uk gear's "cross country" shoe is like a trail/ off-road runner.

So would that be a better shoe than my regular adiddas running shoe that I have now? Because when I do run I'm not alwasys on hard surfaces, sometimes I end up in the grass etc.

not really. those are for trail running-- ie if you live in the mountains or seriously run off road. when i ran CC, we didn't even use them for our races, but... if i had lived in more mountainous terrain, i probably would have.
i run in my trainers in the grass on on light trails all the time. i don't wear trail shoes (even though i own a pair or two), b/c most of my running is done on flat, relatively smooth ground. no boulders, no rivers, no insane amount of tree roots, large grasses, or rocks to navigate, etc.
