If you and another person are both serious about BUD/S, after completeing Navy basic and having the SEAL Challenge Contract would there be a way to get into the same class together, and possibly the same barrack?

I know one of my friends is joining the Marines, and he told me about something called the buddy system or something, where you and your friend go through basic together.

So my question is, can you request to be in a class with your friend if you're both qualified and ready for training?

You may not request a class together, however, if you both have an A School that is equal in length, then you may be placed in the same class together. When you report to BUD/S, you all begin in the same barracks(Bldg. 602.) If you are in the Marines, you may not go to BUD/S.
