Yo, thanks for checkin out the question first off.

I have been training for some time now, to enter the navy and hopefully become a seal. However, 3 weeks ago I was out playing football with some friends, just flag, not tackle. I took a hard fall and all of a sudden my groin hurt like a MOTHER whenever I tried to stand and bring my Right kneed up to my waist line. ( stand up and basically do what it says, you will recognize the movement im speaking of hopefully.) Also it hurts to move it laterally. This has happened twice before in the same spot and everything, the first time playing soccer years ago. It isnt sore in daily use, but I cant really sprint without it flaring up yet, and its getting a bit scary.

My quesiton is, do you think this could be an injury that will stick with me forever and prevent my joining the teams, and do you have any ideas on how to help it out.

P.S. I stretch it daily and before I PT. I focus particularly on the groin area in my strecthing.

Thanks a ton.

First up, I'm no doctor.

This sounds like groin strain.

check out:

for more information including how to identify if this is what you have and what to do about it.

The absolute best advice though ... see your doctor.

Hope it gets better soon. j

Possibly hip flexor strain too. Get checked out to rule out a hernia which WOULD affect your future.
