I have a wife and a child and it is important for me to be able to live off base during BUD/S. Is that at all possible? I know that training is intense and all my attention needs to go towards training. I am a Nuke and I had 2 years of Nuclear Power school and it was no problem living off base then. Also, how long are the work days? Do you ever get any time off? I am used to very long days- just want to get a feel for what life would be like in terms of working hours during BUD/S. Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is ok to live off-base, but are you able and willing to put BUD/S completion ahead of your family? It akes alot of time and commitment. Make sure your family understands what will ne going on during (and if successful, after) BUD/S Training. It sounds like an easy life, but far from it.........
Im not suggesting what you do, just offering advice - look at everything in great detail and decide what is MOST important to you in your life - family or becoming a SEAL........the choice is yours to make. Good luck with any decisions.......
