I am trying to lose wieght right now to prepare myself for Buds. I currently wiegh 200 pounds and I'm 6'1". My wieght loss goal is to lose 20 pounds in a month and I have already loss 5 pounds in two days. My exercise plan has been pretty strenous with for me, during the past few days I have ran about 20 miles and averaged 150 sit ups and push ups a day. I've also been eating a little under 2000 calories today, mainly fruit, vegatables, breads, and other healthy food.
Ok now to the point. I'm worried that losing so much wieght so fast that I'm losing more than just fat, but also muscle. So does it sound like I'm trying to lose to much to fast or does this sound reasonable and healthy to you guys?

Twenty pounds in a month is too much to quick. The first week or so should be your biggest loss, then after only 1-2 pounds per week to do so safely and it's easier to keep off.

Try eating one grapefruit a day since their is an enzyme in grapefruit that actually burns fat. As for the fruits you should be eating, stick mainly with berries and melons since they contain the lowest amount of sugar yet have some of the most beneficial properties.

If you don't want to lose muscle for your weight of 200 pounds you should be at least consuming 100 grams of protein, also try to incorporate more pushups, pull ups and dips. In one recent study examing the best strength workouts pullups and dips were ranked 6th and 7th respectively. Stick with lean proteins (chicken, unsalted soynuts, etc...) and stay away from any processed protein bar and shakes. Their is way too much artificial ingredients (a.k.a. garbage) that your body does not need.
