OK my dream has been for the past 2 years to become a SEAL. I toom the ASVAB and i scored 3 points under the required SEAL score so i wasnt qualified. My recruiter told me about the SWCC program,i wasnt interested uintil he mentioned i could go from SWCC, know the SEALS on first name basis, and he told me i could comeplete SWCC training and go right to BUD/S. Is this legitimate, because i figured going through the SWCC program could prepare me for BUD/S also. And he mentioned that if i complete SWCC training, and i fail out of BUD/S then i would go right back to SWCC. That doesnt seem right to me. Someone please help me out ?

You'll have to wait 2 years after you go through SWCC school to go to BUD/s. Many who say they will do this don't. SWCC school is a kick in the sack. If you are SWCC and decide to go to BUD/s and drop/fail/med drop, whatever the case may be, you will go back to SWCC.

What he said.
Basically, you can do it, but most people do not. You will have to serve your first tour as a SWCC guy... which is not a bad thing. I would look more closely at doing SWCC. We are the lesser known of the two NSW groups, but that does not mean we do not do some bad *** stuff. Look at who gets the biggest toys? I love my MKV, and spending the day shooting off 40 mm grenades from a MK 19 off the back of a boat going 50kts in 6 foot seas is my kind of fun. The training will be a kick in the nuts. I would even venture to say that aside from Hell Week, the training is on par with whatever BUD/S throws at you. So, if you want a challenge, I say go for it.
Now, if you still haven't signed your contract, you may ask your recruiter if you can take the ASVAB again. There are study manuals out there for that test and you should be able to take the test once every 6 months (someone back me up here). Don't quote me on it, but it is something to think about.
Finally, even if it wasn't your first choice, I would encourage you to get your foot in the Special Warfare door anyway you can. There is nothing like it in the world. Trust me on that one.
P.S. SEALs don't push boats out of the back of airplanes.
