i know that this really has nothing to do with this but right now on KXD 13 fairbanks, akaska CSI Miami is on and the plot is a ex-marine sniper on a rampage of shoting people. but not only that but they actualy have thing like sand sock, gilly suit, and plastic coverings on the shelles so that forensics cant barle print it. sound like Navy arn't the only one that have people think that the are killing maniacs.good series bad episoid.
sounds like something that happened on the East coast to huh?

There have been SEALs that have attended sniper school.. Much of the sniper training is done in - house, within the Teams themselves. Many times Team guys will be sent to various schools, come back to the Teams where the information is evaluated and improved on.

If I wanna be a SEAL sniper do I have to train while I'm in the Teams or does it matter?

If you want to be a sniper in the Teams, I personally think that you are thinking a little too far ahead of yourself. Of course your first goal should be enlisting in the Navy and getting through boot and completing your BUD/S package. Then graduating near the top of your A School class, next of course successfully graduating from BUD/S, next Jump School, and then STT/SQT. From that point, you can see what you are really good at and what you enjoy. If it is still being a sniper that strikes you as desirable, and your unit has a need for you to be trained as a sniper and you are good enough, you can request the school and probably get accepted. There is no need to practice for it now. When your in the Teams, if your not actively on an op, you are training - in ALL aspects, not just one facet. Hope this helps answer your question...

SEAL sniper school has nothing to do with Marine Sniper school. They are totally different schools in different states.

Then graduating near the top of your A School class,

Hi Doug - How does this work? Do you get a class rank based on your test scores, or your commander's opinion of you, etc.?
